I like to keep things simple and straightforward.

The last few years for me have been all about rushing through an endless growth spurt. The constant thread beneath all of this transition is the microcosm I've created for myself in this city, and the friends and places that I consistently pursue. The moments that I photograph can be elaborations of this, but I mean to describe people of a certain time and place, not defined by their youth but by their forced adulthood, and the transitions that needlessly occur. How even when we grow up, move into our own spaces, and become more and more independent, we still recognize the stability of routine, the comfort of everyday. How even when we choose to push the ones closest to us away, they take it in stride and patiently wait for our return. Instead of being downtrodden by the obstacles we face, we keep going, finding a new way home.
